M.M.A. EVENT COMING TO FOOTHILLS
The Calgary Vipers have announced that "Venom
at the Snake Pit", a mixed martial arts
event will take place on Friday, August 29
on the field at Foothills Stadium.
Former CFL Great Glen
“The Incredible Kulk” Kulka will be featured
on the card along with fighters from across
Canada
and the
United States
including some who have recently appeared in
UFC events. All
fighters will be present at
a weigh in August 28.
The main event in the 11 bout card will
feature UFC and WEC veteran
Joe
Doerksen of
Winnipeg.
The Manitoban with 45 fights under
his belt will take on John Meyer of
Cincinnati,
Ohio.
The co-main event has
Todd Gouwenberg of Abbotsford, B.C. up
against Jacob MacDonald of
London,
Ontario.
Kulka will be up against a fighter 17
years younger when he enters the circled
cage against Buddy Dixon of Calgary.
The event is sanctioned by the Calgary
Combative Sports Commission.
